1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and BitByte Lab ("BitByte Lab", "we", "us") governing your use of the Walley mobile application, this website and related services (together, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to digital services in your country if that is higher, and legally able to enter into a contract. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
2. What the Service is, and is not
Walley helps you record income and expenses, set budgets and savings goals, track loans and subscriptions, understand your cash flow and build money habits, with optional AI assistance. Your records are stored on your device.
- Walley is not a bank, e-money issuer, payment processor, lender, broker or investment platform. It does not hold, transmit, move or insure money and cannot access your bank accounts.
- Information and suggestions in the Service, including AI output, exchange rates, forecasts and insights, are for general information and education only. They are not financial, tax, accounting, legal or investment advice, and you should not rely on them as such.
- Exchange rates are indicative, sourced from third parties and may differ from the rates your bank applies.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You can use the core Service without any account. Signing in with a Google account is required only for the AI coach and cloud backups. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under it. Do not share credentials or let others use your account. You may delete your account in the app at any time.
4. Licence and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms, BitByte Lab grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Walley on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial money management.
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense the Service or any part of it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
- circumvent usage limits, security measures, App Check attestation or Premium entitlements, or use a modified client;
- use the Service to break any law, to launder money, to misrepresent financial information, or to infringe anyone's rights;
- upload malicious code, scrape the Service, or interfere with its operation or other users' use;
- use the AI features to generate unlawful, harmful or abusive content, or attempt to extract other users' data.
5. Your content
You own the information you enter into Walley, including transactions, notes, attachments and goals ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership of it. To the limited extent Your Content passes through our processors, for example when you ask the AI coach a question, you grant us a licence to process it solely to operate the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content and for reviewing AI-generated drafts, scanned receipts and SMS-derived suggestions before saving them.
- You must have the right to upload any file you attach.
- Because Your Content lives on your device, you are responsible for backing it up, whether with Walley Premium backups or your own method. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes local records.
6. AI features
AI features (coach chat, forecasts, receipt scanning, voice transcription, text extraction) use third-party models and are provided on an as-available basis. They are off until you enable them.
- AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Verify before acting. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on AI output.
- Free accounts have a daily request allowance that we may change. Premium provides a higher allowance. We may throttle or suspend AI access to prevent abuse.
- You must not use AI features to seek or generate content that is unlawful or violates the acceptable-use rules of our model provider.
- We may change the underlying model or provider at any time.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Google (Play, Sign-In, Drive, Firebase), RevenueCat, and providers of exchange rates and IP geolocation. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of their services. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability or their content.
9. Device permissions and requirements
Some features require device permissions (camera, microphone, notifications, SMS on Android, biometrics). Features stop working if permissions are denied or revoked. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, for example with a screen lock, and for meeting the minimum Android version stated in Google Play.
10. Intellectual property and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, the Walley name and logo and the Walley duck character, is owned by BitByte Lab or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
11. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may add, change or remove features, and may discontinue the Service, at any time. We may update these Terms; the current version is always available at this page with its date. For material changes we will give reasonable notice in the app, by email or on this website before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel Premium.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that alerts or reminders will be delivered on time, or that AI output, exchange rates, forecasts or insights will be accurate.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer-protection law grants you and that cannot be waived.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BitByte Lab and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or savings, arising from or related to the Service, including inaccurate entries or summaries, overspending, financial decisions based on the Service, data loss from device failure, uninstalling or clearing data, or third-party services.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Premium in that period, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD 50). These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or gross negligence.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify BitByte Lab against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service or your violation of any law or third-party right. This does not apply to consumers where local law prohibits such clauses.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and, if you have one, deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable, if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16) survive.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and nothing here deprives you of them or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that law so provides.
Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact us at contact@walleyai.tech and give us 30 days to try to resolve the matter informally. Subject to the mandatory rights above, the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
17. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the provision is enforced to the maximum extent permitted.
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to a successor of our business with notice to you.
- The Service is distributed through Google Play; Google is not a party to these Terms and has no obligations regarding the Service.
- Where these Terms are translated, the English version prevails in case of conflict.
