Most people are never taught how to handle money. The tools that could help usually demand a bank login, a subscription, or a country we don't live in. Walley exists to change that: a money coach that is free to start, private by default, and genuinely fun to use, for everyone with a phone.
why we exist
Money stress is universal, but money education is not. Budgeting apps are built for people with linked bank accounts and stable salaries. Everyone else, students, freelancers, families running on cash and mobile wallets, is left with a notebook or nothing.
We believe a clear picture of your own money is a basic right, not a premium feature. Walley is built so that the first step, simply seeing where your money goes, costs nothing and asks nothing of you but a minute a day.
free to start, forever
Logging expenses, setting budgets, tracking goals and IOUs, streaks, insights: the core of Walley is free and will stay free. We never lock your own records behind a paywall.
Walley Premium exists to fund the mission. It adds encrypted backups to your own cloud, safe storage for receipts, and a larger AI allowance. You pay for extras, never for access to your data.
private by default
Your books live on your phone in an encrypted database. Walley has no server that stores your transactions, and no permission to move money. Features that use the internet, such as exchange rates or the AI coach, are optional and switched on by you.
When you do talk to the AI coach, names, notes and identifiers are scrubbed or pseudonymised on your device before anything is sent, and you can inspect exactly what was shared. A privacy claim you cannot verify is just marketing. Ours is a log you can read.
fun is a feature
Good habits are built by showing up, not by willpower. That is why Walley borrows from games: streaks, XP, levels, badges and a mascot who celebrates your wins and nudges you when you drift.
Every playful element serves one purpose, making it easy to log today, and again tomorrow. Consistency, not perfection, is what changes a financial life.

Walley is not a bank, a lender or an investment platform, and it never will pretend to be. Our coaching is educational, not professional financial advice. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we tell you plainly what each permission does before you grant it.
